SPENCER (Iowa) – An armed robbery at Spencer convenience store on Tuesday night has taken a Florida man into custody
According to police, officers responded to the Dynos store at 1001 S. Grand Ave with an armed robbery call on Tuesday, October 29th, just after 22:00.
According to the seller, he was just robbed by a man driving west in a white sedan.
Clay County MPs located the vehicle and stopped it at a Verizon parking garage at 712 11th St SW.
Officers located the driver at Shalimar, Florida, and took him into custody.
Officers claim Munoz tried to buy a canned beer at a Dynos shop. Munoz showed the clerk a gun hidden in his belt and demanded money.
Munoz then fled the cash shop and drove west in his white Chevrolet Malibu.
The officers returned the money stolen and the pistol with the carbon dioxide canister used in the robbery.
Spencer’s police charged Jaime Salina Munoz with the first-degree Robbery. He was then sent to Clay County Jail where he is currently being held on $ 25,000.
