HUDSON (Fla.) – A 21-year old man set fire to his car after he lost several thousand dollars in a game of cards.
According to a Pasco County Sheriff’s report, the victim was burned beyond recognition while playing cards with Michael Psilakis back in October. Investigators are citing Marsy’s Law (a state constitutional amendment that protects victims of crime) and have not released the victim’s identity.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, the investigation started when the victim was reported as missing.
Investigators were told by a witness that he had played cards with Psilakis and lost $3,500. Witness said that Psilakis had asked him whether he should murder the victim.
Psilakis has been charged with murder. Psilakis is being held without bond. Psilakis’ attorney is not listed in the records.
