FORT LAUDERDALE (Florida) – A Florida resident called 911 after finding a brightly colored iguana in his bathroom.
Fort Lauderdale Battalion Chief Stefan Gollan said that the man was scared and didn’t know how to proceed.
According to Curus, Jeff Curus, a firefighter, put on a sterile glove and climbed inside the cage to grab the iguana. He then took the iguana out onto the street and released the animal into the wild.
Gollan states that this department does not have a “one size fits all” approach to unique calls.
The section includes iguana photos and the addition: “Can your imagination lift the toilet lid to find this?”
